Here at LWRepairs, we are more than just a business. Of course, like most businesses, we are profit driven but that does not completely define us!
We are going to support the fight against the suffering 1 in 4 of us will go through in our lifetime. It can not only be devasting for the victim but the family and friends surrounding them. If you haven’t guessed already, the topic we are talking about is Mental health. Mental health can come in many shapes and forms, from the more common such as anxiety or depression, to the less known like PTSD. Our goal is to help raise funds for a charity called Mind. Mind is a charity that provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. We decided to choose this charity because we strongly agree that it is a topic that needs to be discussed and supported from everyone! As you are aware, we are only a small compnay and we can’t do everything! But there is something we can do, and we aren’t going to refuse to do the one thing we can do!
To aid the funding of Mind charity, we are going to give 20% of the value of every accessory sold to the charity. We are hoping this will result in at least a small contribution to Mind charity and more importantly the start of a chain of support for them in the future! We understand this is not much at the moment, however we hope to be able to donate more in the near future!
For those wondering why this is something we are so desperately wanting to support, the next few lines should answer your question. As most of you know, the owner is Lewis Watson. There are many people close to us who have experienced or are currently still experiencing mental health issues. For example, a close relative who has suffered parts of his life. A couple months ago, it was one of his worst periods of his life, each day he would stay home all day, fearful of going out in public and having a panic attack. He vividly remembers at times of courage he would drive down to his local supermarket to push himself to go to the first aisle and checkout. Something as small as this, which many take for granted, gave him great anxiety and distress. Fortunately, after many therapy sessions and a prescription of tablets, he is now back to his normal self. He is very grateful since he has one of the most supportive families and his family had the ability to afford therapy, however there are so many people who don’t have this privilege and therefore NEED our help as a community!
We are going to give every customer one of these cards with every repair or sale in the hope that it will spread the word through your social media. We will also be including a small quote to go along with the card. The aim of this is to hopefully help someone that is in need or generally promote positivity – you’d be surprised how one small quote can change someone mindset.
